The California Birocol Alumni Foundation supports four core programs through your generous contributions. Donors may designate a preferred fund, but all gifts remain subject to Foundation oversight and charitable-use requirements.

Important Information for Donors
Tax deductibility
Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law and support the charitable and educational mission of the Foundation.
Program designations
Donors may designate a preferred fund, but all gifts remain subject to Foundation oversight and charitable-use requirements.
Scholarships & support
Scholarship and community assistance distributions follow Board-approved policies, documented criteria, and conflict-of-interest safeguards.
Receipts & acknowledgment
Donors receive acknowledgment language consistent with IRS requirements, including whether any goods or services were provided.
General Donation Policy
All donations must support the Foundationβs charitable and educational mission, provide a public benefit, and not result in impermissible private benefit. The Foundation reserves the right to decline any donation that does not align with its mission or legal requirements.
Restricted & designated donations: The Foundation may accept donations designated for specific programs or funds, including educational programs, mentorship initiatives, the Community Support Fund, and the Alma Mater Support Fund. However, donations may not be earmarked for specific individuals, and the Foundation retains full discretion over the use of all funds.
Use of funds: All donations are used exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, managed under Board oversight, and allocated based on program needs and priorities.
Compliance: The Foundation complies with IRS regulations for 501(c)(3) organizations, California charitable solicitation laws, and all reporting and recordkeeping requirements.
